About the Product

SIPSOPA is instant Latin soul food. We make authentic, convenient, and healthy Latin soups—like chupe and ajiaco—ready in just minutes. It’s a taste of abuela’s cocina mixed with a little space magic (a.k.a. freeze-drying tech).

Great question! Here’s the back story:

Eduardo was working long hours away from home, living solo sometimes, and needed something healthy, tasty, and instant. He stocked up on Campbell’s soups and instant ramen at Maria's suggestion. But after a while, he was like...¡Quiero los sabores de mi casa! He wanted something that tasted like home—like his mom, Myriam’s kitchen—but couldn’t find it.

So, he started poking around: What does it take to make an instant soup, but with Latin flavors?

The idea started as a little dream called Las Mamitas—a nickname Eduardo’s mom, Myriam, always used.

Eduardo’s first soup trials? Disasters. Think: circuit breakers tripping, kitchen full of powders, and way too many bowls of watery, sad soup. But each day, the soups got better.

He bought a freeze dryer (because why not?), tried freeze-drying his soups and made a total mess of the kitchen. That’s when he realized: I need help.

Over the next few months, some extraordinary food scientists, chefs, flavor wizards, and designers came on board. They turned Eduardo’s crazy idea into a real product: SIPSOPA.

Now, we’re a small but mighty team making authentic Latin soups that taste like home, wherever you are.

We’re working to build a leading product development platform that identifies global flavors and transforms them into healthy, portable products. We mix a lot of instinct, a little science, and technology to create an unprecedented flavor portfolio.

We started with Latin flavors because that’s our gente—our community, our culture, our heart—and we know how to talk to them.

But our vision goes way beyond Latin America. We want to celebrate global food cultures by making authentic, convenient, and good-for-you products that feel like home, no matter where home is.

And we can’t do it alone. We rely on an extraordinary network of chefs, scientists, experts, suppliers, and partners. They’re the secret sauce that makes sipsopa possible.

We’re a friends and family-run business. Link to team page. Together, we’re cooking up a whole new way to enjoy Latin flavors.

It’s simple: sip a sopa = SIPSOPA. It’s a little Spanglish, a lot of flavor, and a whole lot of love.

Our menu’s a flavor tour of Latin America:

  1. Chupe
  2. Ajiaco
  3. ...and more extraordinary recipes coming soon!

Nothing weird. Just:

  1. Freeze-dried meats (chicken, shrimp, beef).
  2. Dehydrated veggies.
  3. Natural spices (aji amarillo, cumin, guasca, etc.).
  4. Dairy powders (for creamy soups).

It’s the real deal, like abuela would make (if she had a freeze-dryer).

Sí, claro:

  1. High protein (15–20g per serving).
  2. Low sodium (under 500 mg per serving).
  3. No artificial flavors or preservatives.
  4. Made with real ingredients like freeze-dried chicken, veggies, herbs, and spices.

Yep! Freeze-drying preserves the good stuff—flavor, nutrients—without needing weird preservatives. Just add hot water, stir, and boom: safe, delicious soup.

Busy people who want flavor + health + convenience:

  1. College students missing home.
  2. Office warriors needing a fast lunch.
  3. Foodies wanting new flavors.
  4. Anyone who loves a good soup in 5 minutes.

Prep & Storage

So easy—like, really:

  1. Open the compostable cup.
  2. Add 14 oz (400 mL) of hot water.
  3. Stir, cover, and wait 5 minutes.
  4. Stir again, add your vibe (lime, avocado, sour cream?), and disfruta.

No cooking needed. If you’ve got hot water (from a kettle, microwave, or dispenser), you’re good to go.

Stored right (dry place, not in the sun), SIPSOPA lasts 6 to 12 months—and technically, up to 25 years (freeze-drying is magic like that). But honestly, you’ll finish it way before then.
